The MIKROE-3714 Silent Step Click is a complete integrated bipolar stepper motor driver solution, rich with many features that allow extremely smooth and silent operation of the connected motor while providing up to 2.5A peak motor current and withstanding up to 46V supply voltage. The specialized TMC5130 IC driver from Trinamic Company far exceeds the capabilities of commonly used stepper motor drivers. Thus, the Silent Step Click is essentially the “intelligence and power” between the main MCU, as a motion controller, and the two-phase stepper motor. The device achieves outstanding performance with a wide range of various stepper motors, thanks to several featured technologies, such as stallGuard2™, spreadCycle™, stealthChop™, microPlayer™, and many more.
