The Charger 9 click is a Li-Ion (Li+, Li-Po) battery charger module, capable of charging one, two, or three battery cells. It is based on the MAX1757, an integrated Li+ battery charger with features for safe and reliable charging. This IC incorporates internal switching-mode regulation with input current limiting, enabling the use of an external power supply from a cost-effective wall adapter, rated up to 14V. An extensive state machine within the MAX1757 IC, along with two additional timers, regulates the charging process, ensuring safety and reliability. In the event of an error, the charging process is halted, and the fault is reported via both an LED and the mikroBUS™ pin.
