The Mikroelektronika MIKROE-2575 MCP73213 Click Board features the MCP73213 dual-cell Li-Ion/Li-Polymer battery charge management controller from Microchip with input overvoltage protection. The click board is designed to run on either 3.3V or 5V power supply and communicates with the target microcontroller over SPI. It offers 13V input overvoltage protection, a resistor programmable fast charge current of 130 mA-1100 mA, and an elapse safety timer of 4 hr, 6 hr, 8 hr or disabled. Applications include portable media players, digital camcorders, and handheld devices. The click board is S-sized (28.6 x 25.4 mm).
