The Mikroelektronika MIKROE-2033 Charger Click Board is a turnkey battery charging board for single-cell Li-Ion and Li-Polymer batteries. The click module is equipped with the MCP73831 charge controller and the DS2438 intelligent charge monitoring circuit, which includes a temperature sensor, timer, AD converter, and a 40-byte EEPROM for parameter storage. The MCP73831 allows for a programmable charging current in the range of 15mA-500mA. The voltage can be set to 4.2V, 4.35V, or 4.5V. The device can communicate with the microcontroller via a single pin, and the supply voltage is fixed at 5V.
