nvSRAM Click is a compact add-on board featuring highly reliable nonvolatile memory. This board includes the Cypress Semiconductor CY14B101J, a 1-Mbit nvSRAM organized as 128K words of 8 bits each, with a nonvolatile element in each memory cell. The embedded nonvolatile elements utilize QuantumTrap technology, providing highly reliable nonvolatile data storage. Data transfer from SRAM to the nonvolatile elements, initiated by the user via I2C commands, occurs automatically at power-down. Conversely, during power-up, data is restored to the SRAM from the nonvolatile memory. This Click board is suitable for all applications requiring fast access, high reliability of stored data, and unlimited endurance.
