The Brushless 12 Click board is a compact add-on board suitable for controlling BLDC motors with any MCU. It features the STMicroelectronics L6235, a DMOS fully integrated 3-phase motor driver with overcurrent protection. The L6235 combines isolated DMOS power transistors with CMOS and bipolar circuits on a single chip. It includes non-dissipative overcurrent protection on the high-side power MOSFETs, thermal shutdown, and all necessary circuitry for driving a 3-phase brushless DC motor. This Click board is ideal for small home appliances, robotics, battery-powered systems, and small cooling fans. Key features include overcurrent detection and protection, undervoltage lockout, a PWM current controller, brake function, and tachometer output for speed loop. The board uses PWM and GPIO interfaces, is compatible with mikroBUS, has an L size (57.15 x 25.4 mm), and an input voltage of 5V or external.
