Technical description of the product (ATSAMA5D27-SOM1):

The SAMA5D2-SOM1 is a small, single-sided System-On-Module (SOM) based on the high-performance 32-bit Arm Cortex-A5 processor-based MPU SAMA5D27, running up to 500 MHz. This SAMA5D27 SOM1 is built on a common set of proven Microchip components to reduce time to market by simplifying hardware design and software development. The SOM also simplifies design rules for the main application board, reducing overall PCB complexity and cost. The SAMA5D27-SOM1 is delivered with a free Linux distribution and bare metal C code examples. It features an ARM Cortex-A5 Processor-based SAMA5D27 MPU, 1 Gbit (128 MB) DDR2 SDRAM, an On-Board Power Management Unit (MIC2800-G1JJYML), 2 Kb Serial EEPROM with EUI-48 Node Identity (24AA02E48T-I/OT), 64 Mb Serial Quad I/O Flash Memory (SST26VF064BT-104I/MF), and a 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet PHY (KSZ8081RNAIA). The module measures 40 x 38 mm with a 0.8 mm pitch, solderable by hand. It offers 103 I/Os, up to 6 Tamper Pins, one USB Device, one USB Host, and one HSIC Interface. Shutdown and Reset Control Pins are included. Independent Power Supplies are available for Camera Sensor, SD Card, and Backup Voltage Domains. Main operating voltage: 3.3V ± 5%. Temperature range: -40°C to 85°C. Integrated crystals and internal voltage regulators are present. Multiple interfaces and I/Os are provided for easy application development.
